1 Timothy 3:16
By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh was vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
The previously undisclosed truth about godliness is that it is all understood in Jesus. He brought heaven to earth with His birth in a stable in Bethlehem. There He was, the God-man, with all the fullness of deity dwelling in Him in bodily form. Upon believing in Him you are complete in Him who is the head over all rule and authority. He was raised by Mary and Joseph, godly parents who learned what it’s like to raise God from infancy and then one day He had John the Baptizer baptize Him and the Holy Spirit descended on Him like a dove with the Father’s voice saying, “This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased, hear Him.” With that affirmation, Jesus began calling men to follow Him as He launched His public ministry. Jesus was ministered to by angels on certain occasions during His earthly life.
They came bringing strength and encouragement when His human body felt especially human. In the future, they will herald His calling of the church in the Rapture, provide signals throughout the Tribulation Period, and then at the Second Coming. Angels will have an active role in world evangelism which will result in many people coming to faith in Christ. All of these statements have been fulfilled and Jesus was taken up in glory. We keep an eye on the clouds and our ears listening intently while eagerly anticipating the Rapture which can happen at any second as He returns to take believers to Heaven.
All this truth is now revealed, the mystery understood and it’s all in Jesus. Give Him praise and glory!
